The designs are based on ‘Churches and Historic Buildings in Adare’ original watercolours by Alison Erridge, including the Desmond Castle, Trinitarian Priory and Augustinian Priory.
The Desmond Castle reputed to have been built before 1226. The Trinitarian Priory was founded for the Trinitarian monks around 1230. The Augustinian Priory was founded in 1315 by John, son of Thames, earl of Kildare.
