The name of this painting is Clare hills 1 watercolour. It brings the natural growth and beauty of our landscape to life. Alison Erridge is the artist and it shows the wide range of colours in the landscape here. Alison’s use of watercolour shows the rich pattern the landscape, because of this you see her love of pattern and rhythm in the painting. The variety of colours is typical of Clares’ natural undulating scenery.
Double mounted in an off white mount, therefore it ready for framing

Alison works and lives in Ireland since 1970. She began the first shop in this cottage. In her career she was a previous vice chairperson of the Crafts Council of Ireland and Chairperson of the Irish Patchwork society.
She exhibited her paintings and fabric art in Ireland, USA, Heidelberg, Salzburg and Tokyo. Her work features in the series ‘Hands’ by David Shaw Smith.
She learnt to draw and paint from William Liley, her father, who taught in Art School.
