Fine Bone China Jug depicting one of the ‘Historic buildings in Adare’ Collection. Taken from an original watercolour by Alison Erridge. The Collection includes the Trinitarian Abbey, The Augustinian Priory, The Desmond Castle and the River Maigue Road Bridge. The Desmond Castle is situated on the edge of Adare. The Desmond castle was founded in the 13th century. After the rebellion in 1536, the castle was forfeited and granted to the Earl of Desmond.
